…we are so excited by our colour swatches. playing with them over the weekend, we realised just what useful tools they are to have when trying to choose colours. Not only does using them instead of your balls of yarn make a) life easier but b) they are more compact c) your yarn balls don’t get ruined d) if your yarn has run out you still have the colour ….in fact we can think of a number of reasons to have swatches. Not to mention how pretty they look. And such fun to make!

Our Colour Play class includes a swatch card with the colour names, as well as a diagram and notes for a solid granny square. Even beginners will manage to make this square with some help. Also included are 20 little yarn balls of yummy stylecraft colours. So if you have never worked with stylecraft before, you will get the opportunity to test 20 colours, and from there you can decide on colourways and use your swatches to choose yarn. This is also very clever for out of towners who don’t have the luxury of simply popping into the Be Inspired Studio to play. So, yes, our Colour Play boxes with swatch card will be for sale on our website after the workshop.

Two of our favourite bloggers, Lucy from Attic 24 and Heather from The Patchwork Heart, both use swatches to play with when designing their next creations. In fact, Lucy stitches her swatches together to see how the colour combo works together.

So, off I go to crochet some more swatches. So in LOVE with them xoxoxox
