Wild Iris Hat Workshop

OUT OF STOCK
The Wild Iris Hat by Briana Arlene is a perfect brioche knitting learning project. There is just enough brioche to sink your teeth into and get into the swing of things, without it being overkill.
I will demonstrate the tubular cast on, and explain why you can long tail it if you want to. I will take you step by step through the brioche stitches, explaining and teaching you some mantras you will hear in your sleep (dreams not nightmares)
I have used a very small part of a 50 gram Spincycle yarn as the contrast colour – you can use a colour change yarn like a Zauberball should you have some left in your stash, or you can use Spiral Grain.
Because I do not charge for the class, the fee includes:
2 skeins of miss la motte singles (100 grams each)
and a Floofie
You are welcome to use these two skeins (will be enough for potentially more than 2 hats – but if you alternate then you will have two different but similar hats and yarn left over) OR you can choose one of the skeins to use and bring a contrast colour change yarn. Either or any which way, you will walk away understanding brioche, and with 2 skeins or parts thereof of LUSH miss la motte and part of a hat!
Please purchase and download the pattern for the class (no sharing of patterns allowed, we respect the designer around these here parts).
Needles: 2,75mm for the tubular cast on, then a 3mm for the brioche and 3,5mm for the ribbing. This depends on you, so maybe bring all your needles. I am using a short cable, and will more than likely move to flyers with the crown decreases, or a short circular (23cm/9″). You won’t get to the ribbing in class, so bring a 2,75 or a 3mm, and a 3,5mm for just in case.
Saturday 23rd November, 10-1pm
Tea/Coffee and cake will be served.
