At Quenti Alpaca, “natural” is king and the range of yarns are spun from incredibly fine soft baby fleece to rugged yarn to knit their sock collection. They love to blend alpaca with other natural fibres like merino, silk, mohair, linen, cotton and bamboo. As far as possible, these fibres are sourced locally. Aymara yarns are produced in a range of natural colours as well as an extensive palette of hand-dyed colours. Hand-dyed yarn is richly tonal and gives a special look to any craft project.
Aymara Meraki is a marvellous blend of Baby Alpaca & Superfine Merino in a wide palette of natural and hand-dyed shades. This sock weight yarn combines the incredible softness of alpaca and the loftyness of merino. It is a joy to work with and results in a soft, warm squishy garment. “Meraki” is the Greek word meaning “to do something with love or soul”. The alpaca is grown, spun and hand-dyed at source by Quenti Alpaca & Mill and the merino is locally farmed.

Thegither cowl by Amy Palko is perfectly suited to Meraki. This yarn is soft and durable and melds beautifully for colour work. Should you wish to knit the cowl, the postcard included will give you details of yarn and needles, but NOT the pattern which can be purchased separately from Ravelry by following the link given. Should you be new to colour work, I do have some videos that I can send you to help get you started. Of course, you can use this trio for any shawl, scarf, hat or other garment or accessory.
