Murano Glass Marker

These Murano Glass stitch markers have been made by local glass artist, Mandi of Grace Glass.

Mandi makes the beads from scratch in a flame of 800c. She uses imported glass rods from the island of Murano in Italy. The rods come in a variety of colours which are melted in a flame and decorated with glass to produce the beads. These stitch markers have been especially made for Be Inspired.

When you buy something from an artist, you’re buying more than just an object. You’re buying hundreds of hours of errors and experimentation. You’re buying years of frustration and moments of pure joy. You’re not buying just one thing, you are buying a piece of a heart, a piece of a soul…A piece of someone else’s life.

Be Inspired have always, and will always, support small local artists by paying fair prices, helping to promote them and their art, positively impacting on them and the families they help to support. Please help me in my support of small art and craft businesses.

The glass is particularly difficult to photogarph so may be slight colour variations in the real piece. But they are art, and unique, and you are guaranteed to love the piece you choose.

(please note these stitch markers are solid glass, and are fairly heavy as stitch markers go. they are meant to be once off decorative pieces that make your heart happy, but you will not be able to hang a dozen off your knitting and crochet as it will become too heavy)
