MLM Winter Blossoms Yara
When I saw the Yara shawl on social media, I immediately bought the pattern. You can find it on Ravelry.
Below is an excerpt from the pattern description, and the completed shawl photos are credited to Natasja Hornby (click her name to see her other designs) The black and cream Yara with spots of green and bright pink is that belonging to @stinejarl
“Inspired by the beautiful textiles Morocco is famous for, Yara is an absolute feast of texture and color. The tweedy background and the easy to work mosaic bands encourage some serious colorplay that will almost always lead to fabulous results.
Charts are given for a version with dark shapes on a light background and vice versa, so you can freely choose what kind of Yara you want. Go for dark and moody or light and summery, or everything in between. Use your imagination and creativity to make her truly yours, and I’m sure she’ll make you proud!
Yara is a very wearable, crescent shaped shawl. A prominent design feature are the vertical and horizontal mosaic bands that adorn the shawl.”
In collaboration with miss la motte, we have put together several different colourways that speak to our hearts, and we are positive that you will love them to. The yarn is Lofty Plied, a glorious bouncy South African merino that yields approximately 360 metres to 100 grams.
The yarn packs, which do NOT include the pattern, but do include a support group and knit along zooms with Be Inspired (starting in November 2021) include the following:
2 x main colour = 200 grams = +- 720 metres
2 x contrast colour 1 = 200 grams = +- 720 metres
1 x mini skein contrast colour 3 = 50 grams = +- 175 metres
1 x mini skein contrast colour 4 = 50 grams = +- 175 metres
