DK Blanket Set

cowgirlblues is a Cape Town-based dye house and design studio specialising in South African wool and mohair. Started by Bridget Henderson, who after an MBA at Insead, a stint at Luis Vuitton Moet Hennessy in Paris, and a successful career as a strategy consultant returned to Cape Town and took up knitting again, experimenting with texture, patterns and colour. Frustrated at not being able to find suitable wool locally, she decided to start spinning and dyeing her own, and so the cowgirlblues brand was born.

This blanket set was made for the Little Squares Knitted blanket by Julie Harrison, of Little Woollie, a yarn store in Australia. The yarn box contains 30 mini skeins of Merino Double Knit hand dyed yarn in solid/tonals – a total of approximately 600 grams (the blanket calls for 300 grams so you could share with a friend? or keep the left overs for another dk project!)

Included with the box set is 400 grams of Silver Fox in the same yarn base, for the contrast colour, or the colour in between the squares.
