Beginners Online Crochet Course with Kit
Calling all Beginner crocheters or those wanting to learn new skills:
How to crochet 101: holding yarn, slip knots, chains, trebles
How to go around to make a square!
There will be two 2 hour zoom classes – with a maximum of 6 per class to keep it small for one on one attention just like my physical beginner workshops pre-covid. Also included will be a help and support group on whats app which I will monitor literally 12 hours a day, seven days a week (I might take the odd day off but then your peers may be able to offer guidance and support) – I have found the shared learning experience is the biggest asset in these groups.
Your kit, which is enclosed in a bespoke, collectable (WIP #131), cotton drawstring bag (with handles) consists of:
12 x 50 grams of ColourSpun Pure Cotton yarn (sock weight) PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE 3 DIFFERENT COLOURWAYS : SOFT RAINBOW, BRIGHT RAINBOW OR NORTHERN LIGHTS (PLEASE WRITE YOUR 1ST AND 2ND CHOICE IN COMMENTS)
4 mm HiyaHiya hook (loose hookers may need to drop to a 3,5mm but we start with a 4mm for a nice loose, soft feel)
2 x Be Inspired step-by-step pattern cards with photographs and instructions for crocheting a granny square, and for join-as-you-go.
Saturday 17th April 2-4pm in the comfort of your own home: Granny Squares
TBC: when you all have more than 4 squares we will do a Join-As-You-Go zoom.
