From the Ravelry listing (please purchase a copy of the pattern here):
“Alpenglow is like a charcuterie board, with a little bit of everything to satisfy your knitty appetite! Stranded colorwork, mosaic knitting, corrugated ribbing and more. This sweater is hard to put down, as you crave just one more row!
This sweater is knit from the top down (meaning you can try it on as you go and add length to suit your own personal style!), beginning with the yoke. The circular yoke is adorned with a stranded colorwork motif, and then you switch to mosaic knitting that is continued thru the body and sleeves. You will separate the sleeves, placing them on hold while the body is finished all the way down to the corrugated ribbing hem. The sleeves are then returned to the needles, picking up stitches for the underarm and worked down to the cuff. The collar is picked up from the cast on edge and worked long enough to be doubled over for a hemmed collar.”
Want to knit along with Miss La Motte and Be Inspired? Learning tips and tricks from the what’s app support group as we go?
We will start knitting our sweaters to coincide with the Rhinebeck Knitting Festival, so that although we cannot be there in person, wearing our knit, we can certainly be joining in by making our own festival sweater! We will be casting on on the 15th October. There will be a prize draw for the finished sweaters, we will give ourselves until end of November to complete opur knitting – unless we extend by general consensus.
Included in the pack are 4 skeins of miss la motte twist which is equivalent to the sport weight yarn used in the original sample
330 metres x 4 = 1320 metres (size 5 excluding ribbings, or size 4 if you use a stash skein for the cuffs, neck and bottom rib)
2 x 50 grams Lang Mille Colori for the colour work
1 x 25 grams Floofie (held double) for the neck and cuff chevron.
The pack does not have the pattern – you need to download it off of Ravelry – but does include 10% off, as well as support whilst knitting.
