Granny Stripe workshop for beginners (and lazy crocheters)
R100.00 – R350.00
The Granny Stripe.
A perfect way to learn to crochet – you will learn how to hold the hook and yarn, how to chain, and how to make a treble crochet, how to end and begin new colours, and how to keep the sides straight.
For those who know how to crochet but are looking for an easy project you will learn the foundation treble crochet chain, if you do not already know it, how to crochet weave in ends as you go, and how to play with colour.
Beginners – everything is supplied – your starter kit of mini cowgirlblues hand dyed minis (start with great yarn for maximum enjoyment and start as you intend to carry on), a hiyahiya basic crochet hook, and a pattern card. You will be taught how to crochet!
Lazy crocheters who know how to crochet but like me wanted a no brainer project – bring your yarns with so we can play with colours – I used all hand dyed scraps and stole from wips – bring the hook suitable for the yarn (I used a 3,5mm with sock weight yarn) – there will be extra starter kits for sale and you could also swap yarns amongst yourselves? Pattern card will also be included. Please Note: this is for those who KNOW how to crochet. Don’t cheat ;-0
Saturday 29 February, 9-12 noon.
At Be Inspired: 18 Msinsi Road, Kloof (parking inside, three abreast at bottom by caravan, and then 2 abreast up drive way – please park responsibly)
Payment is required prior to workshop as I need to prepare kits, and know numbers for catering.
